About

Welcome..

Welcome to Creating Life Simple. This space is dedicated to embracing change. It focuses on simplicity, honors grief, and supports healing after loss.
I am a widowed mother of two daughters, a therapist, and an author. Therefore, I understand the emotional and physical impact of grief firsthand.
After my husband died, my life shifted in unexpected ways. As a result, self-growth became a priority. Resilience became necessary. Meaningful connection became essential.
However, this space is not only about healing. It is also about creating, laughing, and exploring. Finding joy in small moments.
Here, the messy and the beautiful are both acknowledged. At the same time, intentional and simple living is practiced.
I am here to walk this path with you. Together, we navigate life’s complexity. We do so with creativity, with humor, and with grace.
This space was created for anyone facing change or loss. It is for those whose lives did not unfold as expected. I believe healing happens in small, honest moments.
In addition, moving forward does not require leaving the past behind. Instead, it requires learning to carry it differently.

My Story through Grief and Healing

After my husband, Jeremy, died, my life changed abruptly. It felt inverted and unstable. He had been my stability, my comfort, and my strength.
Consequently, as a single mother of two young girls, I faced a persistent question: What now?
We have learned how to continue. However, more than four years later, the weight remains. Some days are manageable. Other days feel unworkable. Jeremy died on December 21, 2021. The cause was pancreatic cancer. It had metastasized throughout his body. His life ended within 100 days of diagnosis.
Pancreatic cancer remains one of the deadliest forms of cancer. Public awareness is limited.
Research funding has historically lagged behind other cancers. Since his death, I have committed to two aims.
First, to offer comfort to those living with loss. Second, to increase awareness of pancreatic cancer. The struggle is real and ongoing.

The Blog

This blog is not solely part of my healing. It is intended to provide comfort, clarity, and measured hope for you. My life is not conventional, and has been reshaped by grief. So, if sharing this process offers even incremental relief to someone else, the work has purpose.
Grief required me to slow down, reassess, and it demanded patience. Over time, the loss altered how I listen, how I live, and how I approach healing.
The result has been greater honesty, greater humility, and greater intention.

My Books about Healing.

I’m the author of two books that focus on healing after loss and processing grief through writing:
📖 The Healing Letter: How Writing Can Help You Process and Overcome Difficult Experiences – The book shows how therapeutic letter writing can support emotional healing.
Includes guided exercises, personal insights, and real-life examples to help readers process difficult experiences.
📖 Breaking: Understanding the Loss of a Partner – The heartfelt guide explores the challenges of losing a spouse.
Offerings compassionate guidance for widows, their families, and anyone supporting someone through grief.
I created Creating Life Simple as a space for grief support, encouragement, and inspiration. Whether you are navigating loss, seeking ways to simplify your life, or looking for creative outlets for emotional healing, you will discover meaningful resources here, and they will directly support your journey.

Creating My Books

I root my books in lived experience and a deep understanding of the healing process.
I design each one to be practical and reflective, helping readers slow down, process their own stories, and find words for experiences that are often difficult to name.
Through prompts, reflections, and guided exercises, readers can engage at a pace that feels manageable and honest.
Instead of prescribing a single path forward, the book focuses on self-awareness, personal meaning, and choice, allowing each reader to navigate grief in their own way.
The goal is not to rush healing but to provide steady support. These resources help readers feel less alone, more grounded, and better equipped to move forward after loss.

More to Come on this Journey through Grief and Healing….

This space marks a beginning. However, I intend for it to become more than a blog. I am building a foundation where faith, creativity, and daily life intersect.
Soon, I will introduce additional resources and offer Christian devotionals. Creating printables and coloring books, and will design other materials to encourage clarity and simplicity.
In addition, I am considering products for both heart and home. Through sharing real conversations about healing, motherhood, and authentic living, there.
Possibility exists for continued expansion. We hope for growth. Evolution will occur gradually, as life itself unfolds.
Over time, lived experience and ongoing learning will shape this space. This includes reflections as I add new material.
Additionally, whether you are processing loss, navigating transition, or pursuing intentional living, I will make support accessible.
